Challenge:
ACS has been a WDC client for almost 20 years. The publication
builds awareness of the ACS mission with annual reporting
of progress in the fight against cancer. The ongoing creative
challenge is to create a relevant theme and tell the story
in a personal and memorable way each year.
WDC Solution:
Take the year’s theme and visually adapt to feature
people effecting change in cancer treatment — survivors,
volunteers, healthcare partners, philanthropists — highlighting
extraordinary efforts by ordinary people as a “Blueprint
for Success.”
Benefit:
- 92% of recipients said the report fulfilled key communication
goals presenting the report in a clear, simple format.
- Annual year 2005 contributions rose from $59 to $68 million
previous to current fiscal year.
- Top Best Practices award in IABC Crystal awards in Annual
Report category.
