Who can resist a note that says “Free Chocolate Inside”? That was the basis of a student science experiment and premise for an enticing direct mail promo. PASCO Scientific’s series of ScienceWorkshop lab experiments are hands-on, computer-based kits created for the classroom.

The promo was mailed to teachers and science department administrators in a custom die-cut box with the teaser line, and with a real chocolate bar inside. An endorsement letter from a teacher, a fold-out introducing the experiments and reply card were also part of the fun package.
