The 2003 Annual Report of the California Division of the American
Cancer Society demonstrates the efforts of the Society and the continual
and unceasing support it provides to the public, literally 24/7.
It spotlights people who are touched by cancer and their own inspirational
stories, giving a ‘human face’ to the disease. The many layers of
this support are depicted in a tapestry of images: candid closeups
of cancer survivors and volunteers, snapshots of their actions, time stamps and blurred,
moving backgrounds to create a kinetic band of activity.
